Students will be notified through the school announcements and it will be posted on the website when Chromebooks for Students new to Sumter High are available.  Students will only be issued a Chromebook to rent IF a copy of their signed AUP is on file.  AUPs can be turned into the library.

Students who had a Chromebook last year are being contacted individually to pick up their contract for usage this year.  Once the signed contract is returned signed and the $20.00 fee is paid the student will be issued their Chromebook.


October is Domestic Violence Awareness month.  The SHS IB students are sponsoring two projects to raise awareness about the tragedy of domestic violence and provide support for the women and their children who are staying at our county’s YWCA shelter.  One is the 13th Annual Walk Against Domestic Violence, October 12th at 9:00 a.m. at the Sumter County Library, and the other is collecting donations and essential household items for the YWCA Shelter.  Also, this week students will be selling baked goods during all four lunches for a $1.
