Clear Bag Procedures
Sumter School District is implementing a clear bag procedure for all high school athletic events effective Friday, October 4. This proactive measure is part of the district’s efforts to continually improve and advance safety and security measures. The procedure and an example of approved clear bags is below:
CHROMEBOOK DEADLINE – OCTOBER 28, 2019
Students who had a Chromebook last year at Alice Drive Middle and Chestnut Oaks are being contacted individually to pick up their contract for usage this year. Once the contract is returned signed and the $20.00 fee is paid the student will be issued their Chromebook.
Students who are brand NEW to Sumter School District may stop by the library to pick up a Chromebook form. Once the contract is returned signed and the $20.00 fee is paid the student will be issued a Chromebook.
Students will only be issued a Chromebook to rent IF a copy of their signed AUP is on file. AUPs can be turned into the library.
All contracts must be signed by October 28, 2019 in order for it to stay valid. All Chromebooks not picked up by October 28th will be returned to inventory and will not be available for student use. This does not include students brand new to Sumter School District.
