Black History Program
The Black History Program will be Thursday, February 18th at 10:00 am.  Representative James Clyburn will be our speaker.

Cap and Gown
Attention Seniors!!!!  If you have not ordered your cap and gown for this years graduation ceremony you need to do this ASAP. Go to Rhodesgraduation.com today and order your cap and gown. 

Monday, February 15 is a full day for student attendance. This date was originally a teacher workday with no student attendance but is now a make-up day from the October flooding.

The following students will be participating in our region's top bands at Myrtle Beach High School in late February!

ASSET Rescheduled
The ASSET that was scheduled for  January 29, 2016 has been rescheduled for March 18, 2016 @ 8:30 am in the teachers’ dining room.

Central Carolina Dual Enrollment
To all rising juniors and seniors that are planning to take dual enrollment the 2016-2017 school year- Central Carolina Technical College will be administering the ASSET placement test for dual enrollment admission on March 18, 2016 from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm in the teachers’ dining room.   Please sign up in Guidance.  The deadline to sign up for this test session is Monday, February 29, 2016.

Requirements for Central Carolina Dual Enrollment:
·  A minimum grade point average of a 3.0
·  A passing score on the ASSET or Compass placement test
·  If using one of the national standardized tests below:
        ACT:  A minimum of a 19 in all categories and overall 19 for the composite score
        SAT:  Critical Reading (470), Multiple Choice Grammar Subsection (47), and Math (460)
·  To take English 101 and English 102, student must have taken and successfully completed English 4

Do you need help filling out the FAFSA?
On Saturday, February 27, 2016, Central Carolina is hosting College Goal Sunday.
Time is 10:00am-1:00 pm on the main campus located at 506 N. Guignard Drive, Sumter.

Congratulations to Chad Hoshour who has selected as Sumter High School's 2015-2016 Teacher of the Year! Chad Hoshour, a US History Teacher at Sumter High School, has 15 years of experience in education. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Master of Teaching from the University of South Carolina. His honors include
