Important Dates

Please note:  Students will need to pick up their schedule before school starts.  Students will report to their assigned advisory class on Monday, August 20th.


School Resumes Monday, August 20th.  This will be a full day of attendance.

Sumter School District will continue to offer additional time for teacher collaboration, professional learning, and instructional planning during the 2018-19 school year.

Two early release days have been scheduled for the elementary and middle schools. On September 26 and March 20, elementary students will dismiss at 11:30 a.m., and middle school students will dismiss at 12:30 p.m.

Beginning September 7, high schools will start one hour later each Friday until May 17. Students are to report to school by 9:45 a.m., and the school day will end at 3:45 p.m. Buses will arrive at the bus stops in the morning one hour later than the normally scheduled times.
