Bertila’s Foundation Scholarship
Bertila’s Foundation Scholarship is a special funding opportunity that is offered to high school seniors and college students. This scholarship was established in memory of Bertila Boyd-Bostic, Esquire by the foundation whose initiative is to support a high school senior that has been accepted to an accredited 4-year college and a college student that is currently attending an accredited 4-year college.  The application deadline is June 17, 2021 (No exceptions).

The BlueCross BlueShield Scholarship

The BlueCross BlueShield Scholarship is a ​$5,000 scholarship that is awarded every year to a graduating African-American high school senior who resides in Allendale, Clarendon, Fairfield, Kershaw, Lee, Lexington, Newberry, Richland, and Sumter Counties. Applicants must have been a former participant in a Columbia Urban League Program, have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.00, be accepted by an accredited college or university at the time of the scholarship award, and meet the financial need requirement.

To apply, please download the application and return it to the Columbia Urban League. Applications must be postmarked by Friday, May 07, 2021. Please be sure to submit all necessary documentation with the application.


​WWDM Brenda Jones Memorial Scholarship

The WWDM Brenda Jones Memorial Scholarship is a $5,000 Scholarship that is awarded every year to a graduating African-American high school senior who resides in Fairfield, Lexington, Newberry, Richland, and Sumter Counties. Applicants must have been accepted by an accredited college or university at the time of the scholarship award and meet the financial need requirement.

To apply, please download the application and return it to the Columbia Urban League. Applications must be postmarked by Friday, May 07, 2021. Please be sure to submit all necessary documentation with the application.


​Glory Communication Scholarship

Glory Communications, Inc. has assisted students in the Midlands and surrounding areas since 1998 through Future Leader Scholarship awards. We know the value of a good education, and certainly understand that finances play a key role in being able to pursue higher education. Our goal is to help alleviate some of the financial responsibilities so that students can focus on academic pursuits. Harris and Graves Scholarship

Harris & Graves is excited to announce our annual $1,000 scholarship, which is available to college students in North or South Carolina who have been accepted to or are currently enrolled in a 2-year college or 4- year university with a GPA of at least 3.0.

  • Applicants must be college students in North or South Carolina, with a GPA of at least 3.0, who have been accepted to or are currently enrolled in a 2-year college or 4- year university.

National Association for the Education of Homeless Children and Youth

– Be eligible for McKinney-Vento assistance or have experienced homelessness while in school within the last 6 years

Tywanza Sanders Legacy Scholarships

 CTEA Scholarship 2021 application

The South Carolina Association of Extension Administrative Professionals (SCAEAP) offers a $1000 scholarship to students pursuing a career in the secretarial/computer science or business management field. The Gwen Diaz Scholarship
To be eligible, the applicant must:
Be a high school senior, college freshman, or sophomore who is an active member in
their church or whose life reflects that of holiness and upholds the moral standards of
the church.
Applicants will be selected based on the following criteria:
  • Academic performance: Current overall grade point average must be at least a B (3.0)
  • Church participation: Must faithfully serve in the local church
