Welcome to Sumter High School’s

2024-2025 Academic Year!

The faculty and staff at Sumter High School are thrilled to welcome our students to what promises to be an exceptional school year.

School Reminders:

Students must wear IDs at all times. If you do not have an ID, please notify your 1st block teacher so that they can send your name in to have one made. Be prepared for metal detector screeing process: (Remove metal items and place in bins; wear bookbag on shoulders). Get to school early to avoid long lines. Students are encouraged to check their email and Schoology accounts daily. Follow the dress code and district’s code of conduct.

Drop-off/Pick-up Procedures:

Parents who drive their children to school should use Gate 1 off McCrays Mill Road for drop-off and pick-up. Drop-off time is no later than 8:30 a.m., and pick-up is from 3:45 to 4:15 p.m. To ensure safety, do not use the student parking lot, bus loading/unloading area, or pick up outside the school premises on McCrays Mill Rd. or Stadium Rd.

Student Driver/Parking Procedures:

Students driving to school must arrive by 8:30 a.m. and use Gate 6 to enter and exit the campus. (Be mindful of security procedures so that you are not late for your classes). Permits must be obtained in person at the main office during lunchtime. Students need to present their vehicle registration and a valid driver’s license. Full details on driving and parking procedures are available on the school website and in the handbooks.
