2026 - 2031 Sumter High School Renewal Plan

Strategic Plan Goals:

  • By the end of the 2030/2031 school year, Sumter High School will reduce the disparity between the Students with Disabilities cohort and the “All Students” cohort by increasing the Students with Disabilities 4-year on time graduation rate by 2.5 percentage points (from the baseline of 66.7% to 79.2%) and increasing the Students with Disabilities meeting College and/or Career Readiness standards by 4 percentage points (from the baseline of 36.7% to 56.7%) each year.
  • By the end of the 2030/2031 school year, Sumter High School will increase the percentage of certified staff being identified as properly qualified from the current baseline of 93% to 100% by implementing a tiered system of professional development and instructional coaching.
  • By the end of the 2030/2031 school year, Sumter High School will improve its “School Climate” rating from Average to Good by increasing the percentage of teachers reporting “Satisfied” or “Very Satisfied” with the Learning Environment by 6% and students reporting “Satisfied” or “Very Satisfied” with the Learning Environment by 10% (as measured by the annual SCDE School Climate Survey.)
