STUDENT IDs – Mandatory

For the safety of our students, faculty, and staff, ALL STUDENTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO WEAR THEIR IDs at all times during the school year. Please familiarize yourself with the ID policy and procedures below.

ID Policy and Procedures

In high school, students must meet academic and attendance requirements. State law requires a minimum of 120 hours of seat time for a one-credit class and 60 hours of seat time for half-credit classes. Any student who accumulates more than five (5) absences in a 0.5 credit class, more than ten (10) absences in a 1.0 credit class, or twenty (20) absences in a 2.0 credit class is in jeopardy of not receiving credit and may instead be assigned a “Failure due to Absence – FA.”

If you are absent for any reason, please submit the appropriate documentation to the attendance office no later than 3 days after returning to school.

This policy creates a phone-free school environment that fosters a positive learning experience free from electronic distractions.

Devices and accessories must be powered off and stored in the student’s backpack during the school day. Devices and accessories include, but are not limited to, cell phones, smart watches,
tablets, gaming devices, and ear buds.
